On a sad note, both Firefly, the speed-demon pony, and Zodiac, one of the schoolies, had to be put down this month. If you have any stories or pictures you would like to share about either one of them, please e-mail them to webmaster@nottinghamequestriancenter.com. Check back to see if there are any memorials written for them....

A new book has been selected for the next book club meeting - A New Earth. This meeting won't be happening until next September. We all have to take off the summer to show off our ponies, don't ya know!

If you haven't registered for Pony Camp yet, better do so quick. We will start posting availability information for each week soon.

Welcome to April! It's Spring, isn't it?!?!

Spring Clinic - April 12th
This month we have a prep clinic on the 12th: How to Prepare for a Successful Show. Come out at noon and learn how to properly clean your tack and prepare your pony!

April Book Club - May 2nd
This month the book club meeting is actually in May...but don't let that stop you from getting your book and getting to reading! This month is Thick Nhat Hanh's Peace Is Every Step. You can find it on Amazon.com and there were several copies at the Lansing Mall Barnes & Noble, too.

Pony Camp - All Summer
Be sure to check out all the Pony Camp info for this summer - we already have lots of interested campers, so get your application in quick!

Pony Camp! Pony Camp! Pony Camp!
Pony camp information has been posted! You can find this year's Pony Camp application and brochure on the Pony Camp page (on the Events menu). There is even a Pony Camp flyer that you can download if you would like to post information for others to see.

New this Year!
This year we are excited to be offering a session called "Nottingham Nature Nook" in each week of camp. During this afternoon session, all the campers will learn about the local wildlife and plants that surround Nottingham. Time will be spent with a local wildlife biologist and wildlife rehabilitator who will take the children on a guided nature walk. The session will finish with a project that the campers can bring home to benefit their local wildlife.

The Calendar (found on the Events menu) has all the pony camp weeks shown on it, too.

Make sure you check out Victoria Zimmerman's biography in our Trainers section. We are proud to announce that she is a wonderful new addition to our lesson staff.

Soon, we will be adding a subweb for Nottingham's Nature Nook. This site will provide information about local flora and fauna, including what to do when you find orphans or abandoned wildlife. If you have ever been to Nottingham, you know about the beautiful flowers that abound and the many squirrels and birds that you can find there. The Nature Nook and Nature News will help you learn more about both!

Be sure to get your book for the next meeting of the NEC Book Club. We are reading "The Traveler's Gift" by Andy Andrews this month.

Pony Camp is the next item on the agenda! As we finalize dates and our yearly brochure, we will post updates to the site and the blog. Check back often and be sure to reserve your week!
