Why is Nottingham so special?Nottingham Equestrian Center is a unique facility that offers high quality dressage and jumping instruction on both private and school horses. Rarely do you find a barn with two nationally certified judges who are also experienced and highly trained instructors. Both Cheryl Connell-Marsh and Maryal Barnett have been actively involved in the Instructor/Trainer program of the USDF, and Maryal is currently an examiner in the USDF Instructor Certification program. Cheryl is also an active and popular eventing judge and travels throughout the country serving as President of the Ground Jury for events. Cheryl also has many students who are competing at both events and pony club rallies.
Remind yourself that you are on horse time... At Nottingham, both boarders and students are treated equally, and are given the same high-quality instruction. All of our school horses are given the highest care and love - and it shows! Our barn is as much about the care you give your horse before and after the lesson as it is about the time spent in the saddle. We strive to teach our students love, respect, and patience for their horses and to realize that riding takes time and horses (like nature) cannot be hurried. We encourage all our students to arrive 1/2 hour before and remain 1/2 hour after their lesson to properly care for their horse. Nottingham is not just a barn, it is a home and a haven for both people and animals. When you ride at Nottingham, you become a part of our family and you will develop friendships that will last over time. |
